Mary became the most famous and highly favored mother because she answered a call from God to give birth to the Savior of the world. Sister Ruth Roland also answered a call to serve God and his people as one of the founders of Catholic Eldercare. To this day, she is remembered for her motherly love, guidance, and support. Sister Ruth is famous in the eyes of many.
Have you heard of Gloria Campano? She became famous because her son Bradley Cooper takes her to the Academy Awards each year as his date. How about Shirley Jones? If you’re in your sixties, you may remember her sons Shaun and David Cassidy.
If you watched a Kansas City Chief game this year, you most likely saw Donna Kelce. She became famous as the mother of NFL football stars Jason and Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift stepped in and made her even more famous. Taylor Swift is also making her mom Andrea Swift famous.
Is your mom famous? The reality is every good mother is famous in the eyes of her children and in the eyes of God. Her fame isn’t a result of being in the media spotlight, it comes from putting her kids in the spotlight of her love and care. She is faithful, selfless, forgiving, patient, and kind. She loves unconditionally and fiercely protects her children. She makes sacrifices and works hard to make a good life for them.
