Expressing Gratitude During Family Caregiver Month

November is Family Caregiver Month. It’s a time to publicly acknowledge the devotion of spouses, adult children, and other family members who dedicate countless hours to caring for the elderly people they love. Catholic Eldercare is honored to work alongside family members who help us ensure the health and happiness of the residents of our communities. We’re grateful for your partnership and your support.

According to AARP (American Association of Retired Persons), over 530,000 family caregivers in Minnesota provide unpaid care valued at $10 billion annually. If you’re a family caregiver, we know you spend countless hours meeting the financial and physical needs of your loved one, often pulling you from your career, spouse, and children. You’re feeling stressed and uncertain if you have the stamina to keep up the pace. You’re not alone.

Catholic Eldercare is proud to provide respite to family caregivers in our community with adult day services. Our trusted program engages the mind, body, and spirit and opens the door to socialization and friendship. Families relax when their loved one is in our care, knowing they’re well cared for and happy here.

If you’re a family member of someone in our care, we say, “Thank you” for being on this journey with us. Thank you for your time, commitment, ideas, recommendations, reassurance, and support. We want you to know we’re also here for you with people, resources, and support groups that can make your life easier.
