MainStreet Lodge is now welcoming residents and families into newly remodeled places and spaces filled with color and light. The rooms are bright with natural light and the walls and upholstery have color and texture.

Connected to the Albert J. Hofstede Care Center and Saint Anthony of Padua Chapel, MainStreet Lodge is a small, assisted living community with 51 apartments. Residents say it’s easy to navigate throughout the building, make friends, and get to know the staff.

Robin Haenze is the Director of Sales and Outreach for MainStreet Lodge, and she’s proud of the building and the comfort and security it provides. “By investing in our property, we invest in our people and the future,” she says. “I want residents and families to feel at home when they walk into MainStreet Lodge, and the upgrades we’ve made make it even more warm and inviting.”

Wonderful new and beautifully designed activity spaces on each floor!
There are five parlors on the end of each floor at MainStreet Lodge, and one of the goals of the remodel was to turn them into purposeful destinations. These spaces were transformed into a:

  1. Putting green
  2. Library
  3. Exercise area
  4. Game and puzzle room
  5. Sitting room for visiting with friends and family

The beauty of main dinning is extraordinary.  Imagine dining in this light filled, gorgeous room with an enormous hearth and fireplace, comfortable chairs and a delicious meal shared with friends.

The four-season porch has been updated with new lighting and comfortable furniture and offers an outside view throughout the seasons. Located off the dining room, Robin says, “The porch is a great place to enjoy coffee, read the paper and the view in all kinds of weather.”

The chapel in MainStreet Lodge was upgraded to make it more accessible for daily prayer, rosary and Mass. The chapel is truly a special space.

We continued with the new light and bright design in the lower-level community room. The kitchen is open and welcoming and totally accessible for our residents to cook and work on baking projects or for family celebrations.  The space was designed for fun! It is a great place where we all experience community.

“Residents are telling us they love the updates,” Robin happily says. “And families feel welcomed into spaces within our community where they comfortably visit with loved ones. Residents also reserve the lower-level community room for family gatherings, birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations.”

Something that is not changing is the food! Residents help our chef plan meals at a monthly council meeting. Robin says, “The food is wonderful. We have the best homemade soups every day. People love it!”
